Meet Mel Walker

Mel Walker has literally invested his life in the next generation. Mel is a frequent speaker (both nationally and internationally) at youth, church leadership, family life, and parenting conferences.  He speaks to thousands of students, church leaders, and youth workers each year and has organized and led several regional, statewide, and national youth and youth ministry conferences and events.  Mel is a graduate of Clarks Summit University (then Baptist Bible College & Seminary), AA & BRE, MMin, and has done graduate work at Iowa State University and Faith Baptist Theological Seminary.

Mel & his wife, Peggy, have been married for 45 years and are the parents of 3 grown children; and they have 9 grandchildren. Mel is also a part-time youth pastor/assistant pastor at Wyoming Valley Church in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

After serving as a youth pastor in Michigan for several years, Mel then taught youth and family ministry courses and served in various administrative roles at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa, and then at Baptist Bible College & Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA. He also ministered for several years as the director of student ministries at Regular Baptist Press – where he led in their complete revision of the youth ministry curriculum. He is also the co-founder and president of Vision For Youth – and international, non-profit, network of youth ministries – and he is the author of 13 books.

Mel is available for a speaking ministry in churches, seminars, and conferences – and he consults with churches around the country on how they can effectively reach and impact emerging generations.
